Richmond, VA based.
For hire anywhere.

After landing in Richmond in 2014, by way of SF and NYC, Alexis found her way to commercial and editorial photography. With an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a background in advertising photography, she brings a creative touch to every assignment that blends technical skill and imaginative thinking. Alexis works across all genres, but thrives in the studio where she can nerd out on lighting schemes, or on location framing up a brand new kitchen for your favorite interior design firm.

When Alexis isn’t behind the camera she’s behind the pottery wheel. She is Co-Founder of Hand / Thrown Studio, a community focused ceramics studio that teaches classes and workshops. She throws pots under the name East Clay Ceramics and would love to talk to you about why your everyday dishes should be handmade.

You can find her in the studio at Focal Point Space, a membership based photography studio collective she opened in 2019.

Head here to view her personal projects and installation work.
